Even Then We Knew

For Kristos

That you see the truth of
Who I AM
While others see only
Who I am of necessity
Lifts my heart
to realms reserved
for angels
and beings of pure intent

Our reconnection
Has given rise to the realization
that I shall soon be able to lay aside
the sword of truth
and once again raise the cup of love
allowing humanity
to nourish itself from
the well of infinite compassion

Together
we will
breathe the breath of life
back into the cells of being
and the winds of change
shall rise
